10 Healthy Foods to Beat the Summer for Children

To keep kids healthy and cool during summer, encourage them to drink plenty of water, coconut water, and fresh fruit juices. Light and flavourful options like salads and snacks, such as chaats and paneer tikka, can also be enjoyable. My next blog is on healthy drinks for kids, keep reading.

Fruit Chat:

Combine a variety of fresh fruits like mango, kiwi, strawberries, watermelon, papaya, apple, dragon fruit in a large bowl for a colourful and nutritious summer snack or dessert.


Frozen yogurt:

Freeze yogurt in ice cube trays and blend it up with fresh fruit for a healthy and refreshing summer treat. Top them with fresh fruits like banana, papaya and some roasted nuts.


Grilled Paneer skewers:

Kids love food on a stick! Marinate Paneer in a simple sauce and grill it on skewers with veggies like bell pepper and onion for a healthy and fun summer meal.

Dahi Vada:

A popular Indian snack made with lentil fritters soaked in chilled yogurt, topped with spices like cumin, coriander powder, and chaat masala.



Hummus and veggies:

Serve hummus with cut-up veggies like carrots, cucumbers, and bell peppers for a healthy and satisfying snack. Give a dash of lemon juice for a tangy taste.


Masala Corn:

A popular street food made with boiled corn kernels, butter, and spices like red chilly powder, chaat masala, and lemon juice.



Kachumber Salad:

A healthy and refreshing salad made with cucumber ( peel the cucumber into strips to give an attractive look) tomato, onion, and coriander leaves, seasoned with sesame seeds, salt and lemon juice.



Frozen banana pops:

Dip banana slices in melted dark chocolate and freeze them for a healthy and fun summer treat


Chana Chaat:

A spicy and tangy snack made with boiled chickpeas, chopped onion, tomato, and coriander leaves, seasoned with spices like cumin, coriander powder, and chaat masala.


Vegetable Raita:

A yogurt-based side dish made with grated vegetables like cucumber, carrots, and beets, which can be served with rice or roti.
