The Purpose of celebrating this and the role of common man in this is, Today we express our Solidarity to all the AIDS patients in the world and we try to remember all the patients who died with AIDS. According to the website of hiv.org, this year's theme for World AIDS Day is 'Ending the HIV/AIDS epidemic: Resilience and Impact.' This theme is also a reminder that people can achieve a thing, if they make a joint effort to deliver high-quality services for treatment and prevention of HIV, to the ones who are in need. As per the statistics by UN AIDS, by the end of 2019, total people living with HIV AIDS all over the World in more than 3 Cr. 80% of the people among them know that they have AIDS and 70 lakhs of the people doesn’t know that they are suffering from HIV/AIDS. In our Country, as per National AIDS Control organization (NACO)statistics, in our Telugu states , AP and Telangana, among 5 Lakhs people got this AIDS. National prevalence rate in India is0.26%. It is very very less if we compare with many other countries. In last 10 years, we are seeing reduction in HIV/AIDS among the people but there is a huge growth in key population or High Risk Groups like Female SEX workers, MSMs means Men who have Sex with Men, Trans genders , People who are addicted to Drugs ……. And also we are seeing a huge growth in bridge populations like drivers, cleaners, Long distance truckers, Migrants. These are mainly spreading the infection to the common population. 90% of the cause of Spread ogf the infection is due to key populations only. Acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) is a chronic, potentially life-threatening condition caused by the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). By damaging your immune system, HIV interferes with your body's ability to fight infection and disease.
